Tour Itinerary

Day One We fly into the city that what is done there, stays there–The Neon City, Sin City…We will tour the strip and the rest of this sprawling city. There is way more to Vegas than gambling and casinos. We tour the legendary Neon Museum–one of the iconic collections in America. We will stay on the strip.

Day Two We start our area tour by heading to Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. We will tour the 8th Wonder of the World and see how the power plant and dam function. Then we cruise Lake Mead and see the dam from an all new perspective. There is enough concrete there to build a 4 foot wide sidewalk around the Equator. We will also see the O’Callaghan-Tillman Bridge–largest arch in the Western Hemisphere. Tonight we take in one of Vegas’ big shows. This is something you won’t see anywhere else.

Day Three We begin our day at one of the newest national park sites–Tule Springs Fossil Beds. Here we will be on the look-out for Mojave wildlife, fossils that regularly surface here and the stark but unworldly landscape. In contrast to that, we next head to the Valley of Fire where bright red rocks in crazy shapes dominate the landscape. Two natural wonders just a few miles from the glitz of Vegas, Baby.

Day Four We tour Red Rock Canyon–another natural wonder. At nearly 200,000 acres this wild area has something for everyone. Wildlife includes Desert Bighorn, Mule Deer, Desert Tortoise, hundreds of bird species and incredible desert flora. On top of that is some of the most unusual geological features. Bill has one more surprise for you today.

Day Five We fly home with incredible memories of flashy neon lights, big time shows, unbelievable geologic wonders, an engineering miracle, awesome wildlife and unusual desert plants. Maybe the one trip that has everything!
